DefenTec was founded in 2017 by a seasoned entrepreneur with multiple successful businesses across the Austin area. Our CEO brings extensive experience in both business leadership and cybersecurity to the organization, creating a unique perspective that balances security requirements with practical business needs.
With a longstanding passion for cybersecurity, our founder recognized a critical gap in the market: while cyber threats were becoming increasingly sophisticated, many businesses lacked access to enterprise-grade security solutions. This insight led to the creation of DefenTec, with a mission to provide advanced protection that doesn't require massive IT departments or budgets.
The CEO is an active member of several industry cybersecurity organizations and holds multiple advanced certifications in the field. When not leading DefenTec's mission to strengthen digital defenses, our founder is actively involved in Austin's technology community and mentorship programs.
Chief Technology Officer
Our CTO leads DefenTec's technical strategy and security operations, bringing over 15 years of experience in advanced cybersecurity research and applied AI. Prior to joining DefenTec, our CTO headed security architecture at a leading technology firm, pioneering machine learning algorithms for predictive threat detection that significantly reduced client incident response times.
With specialized expertise in AI security, zero-trust architecture, and cloud infrastructure protection, our CTO has been instrumental in developing DefenTec's approach to secure AI implementation and advanced threat detection methodologies.
Holding industry-leading certifications including CISSP and CISM, our technology leader regularly contributes to cybersecurity publications and speaks at major industry conferences including BlackHat and DEF CON.
Chief Security Officer
Our CSO oversees DefenTec's security operations and threat intelligence programs, bringing extensive experience from federal cybersecurity operations. Before joining our team, our security leader served in senior roles with federal agencies focused on critical infrastructure protection and held leadership positions at Fortune 500 financial institutions.
With deep expertise in threat hunting, incident response, and regulatory compliance, our CSO has been crucial in developing DefenTec's proactive security methodologies.
Holding CISSP, CEH, and GIAC certifications, our security leader regularly presents at major industry conferences and has contributed to the development of national cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
